Dear Callahan Family,
I am so very sorry to hear about the death of your brother, Billy. Although many years have passed, I fondly remember all of the good times the Nearys and Callahans shared at St. Mary School and East Catholic High. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

My deepest condolences to the entire Callahan family. I had the good fortune to work with Bill over the past several years at DMV and had great respect for him. He worked hard and made one of the toughest jobs at DMV seem effortless. He loved his family deeply, had a great sense of humor and will be sorely missed. He is one of those people who you come across in life who you respected and gave you reassurance during difficult times. All those who knew will remember him fondly. May he rest in peace.

My sincere and deepest condolences to the Callahan family. Billy was one terrific and funny guy. I immediately remembered the last elementary class reunion and talking with Billy, laughing about my Lynn Street parties and Billy dancing and joking with my cousins Fran and George. Billy was an upstanding young man and I was always proud of his friendship. Rest in peace friend. I will always remember your smile and laughter.

My condolences to the Callahan family. I have many fond memories of growing up with the Callahan clan. Although I spent most of my time with Brian and Kevin, I was privileged to know Billy and benefit from his friendship and leadership at a young age. I hope that your happy memories help you during this difficult time.

Bill was such a pleasure to work with. We would discuss cases, share ideas, and support each other during our time together at CHRO. We interviewed on the same day, we were hired on the same day, trained together, and had offices directly across from each other. I really respected Bill's work ethic and willingness to be a team player. He was genuine and had character. He always had a smile on his face when sharing stories about Linda, Eric, Christopher, and Allysa. He loved his family and was proud that his family was growing. Rest in peace Bill.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing! Bill was my Sales Manager at Rourke-Eno in the late 1980's and I could not wait to get to the Office each morning. Those days were not work for me, they were fun and exciting and the best days of my life. I often mentioned to my wife Kathy, how blessed I was to have a job that was fun, and Bill and Dick T made it that way! I will always remember the Twinkle in his eyes when I went to him with a problem and he said " don't sweat this, I got it". And he did!
He was such a great guy, please Rest in peace Bill

Twenty-nine years ago, my family and I had the great fortune to move in next door to Billy, Linda and their young family. Immediately, Billy was the type of neighbor and friend I could rely on who made our end of the street a great place to live. Over the years we would help each other outside, whatever the season. Billy was a giver. During an illness 2 winters ago with the terrible storms, Billy couldn’t do enough for Carla and I.
Over this entire time Billy and I would always stop chat and joke about our young ‘italian brides’ and our 6 combined kids comings and goings. Billy loved his family. The last few years we seemed to talk and laugh more and more about the challenges of our jobs with the state and eventual retirement.
Through it all, Billy always said how hard his people worked at motor vehicles despite their many demands.
I was so lucky to meet Billy in 1986 and blessed in 2015 to be with him in the end.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Callahan family,
Jim Hankard
