Obituary of Reginald Gallant

Reginald "Reg" R. Gallant, 86, of Glastonbury passed away Thursday morning after a series of illnesses. Reg was born in Lancaster, NH on January 16, 1925. After serving his country in the Army he relocated and went to work for Underwood Olivetti in Hartford and Italy. After Underwood Olivetti left Hartford Reg ran his own Professional Engineering firm until his retirement in 1995. Prior to his retirement he was an avid boater at Westerly Yacht Club and he continued to enjoy his favorite sport of golfing. Reg and his wife Cathy resided in Glastonbury for the past 38 years. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Donovan) Gallant and three daughters, Ruth Bjorklund and her husband Marc and their children Neal and Lili of Bainbridge Island, WA ; Rhonda Hamm her husband Steve and their daughter Ashley of Paulsbo, WA and Cynthia Heidi Gallant of Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to a attend a funeral service conducted by the Rev. Michael Galasso at 4:30 pm on Sunday (Feb. 13, 2011) at the Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave. Glastonbury. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 2-4:30 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
