Dear Cathy,Heidi, Ruthie and Rhonda, I am so at a loss for words. I loved Uncle Reggie so much. He helped me find my way and greatly supported me when I wanted to become a captain instead of staying in sales. He was one of two hero's. I am sorry for being so AWOL and am greatly saddened that I couldn't get to see my favorite uncle. I will keep praying and will be in contact. Thank you for being so good to me when I visited from the schooner or worked at the shop. I still use Uncle Reg's teachings and nautical experience to help my students. Reggie truly had a way to make a point stick and very clever. He is so missed. I truly love that man. God bless and Godspeed Reg.

Dear Cathy, Ruthie, Rhonda, and Heidi, It goes without saying how sad it makes me at the passing of my sweet, strong Uncle and Godfather. My loss is nothing compared to how all of you must feel. I, so vividly recall seeing Uncle Reggie (and Cathy) when you made the long trip to Florida to be with us after my dad passed away. That was such a dark time for me and the rest of the family. We had just lost mom only months before……and then dad. You two were such a comforting presence. Uncle Reggie was so cute and amusing cracking jokes to make us laugh working to lighten the mood. Not an easy task as far as I was concerned! Did I just say he was cute? It’s funny because my memory of him has always been a mix of tough – no one passes me any BS, and silly cute musings. Such a great guy! Growing up I remember him explaining to me the difference between what he did for work as compared to my father. I used to know that too! The conversations he and dad shared about boats and the water were always enticing. Definitely had an effect on Rex and his love of the pirate life (as we so lovingly refer to it!). The amount of time we shared together just doesn’t begin to add up to all he offered and the profound memories collected along the way. I wish you all comfort and peace at this trying time. Take good care of yourselves and each other. Loving hugs, Randibeth, …warm regards from my partner, Tim …and from the family, Sarah, Ryan, and Travis.

Dear Heidi,Catherine and family on behalf of Lynne, my brother John, and myself our condolences and thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
For my brother John and myself Reg was our "uncle" from Connecticut and he treated us like family. The summer vacation we spent with him and yourselves in Glastonbury and at the W.Y.C are some of our most found lifetime memories . Reg always showed interest in our endeavors be it in our studies or our work life and never stopped encouraging us to do better and try harder. It was always nice to see those Connecticut plates in the driveway when we gathered for our family functions.
Reg was a smart, kind and generous man and was never afraid to "call them as he sees them";we will miss him.

Catherine: Thoughts are with you, Heidi, Rhonda, and Ruth today. Reg lived a good life - well educated, an entrepreneur and business owner, and made time for friends, family and the boat. I often recall my stay in Glastonbury and going out to Westerly. To Reg we were Mr. & Mrs. Television - Heidi and me - we watched too much TV. Truly a good natured man. I understand he was in poor health in the last year. Now he shares in the promise of the faithfully departed. Peace be with you all. Brian Doyle Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Dear Family, The last time I saw my Uncle Reggie, what we called him as kids, was at my father's funeral (Richard Gallant, his brother) in 1999. I remember very fondly the visits we shared as kids growing up with my cousins Ruthie and Rhonda, and this goes back to the 50 &60's. My deepest condolences to Cathy and cousins, I know you will miss him very much. I miss my father everyday, those four boys were something else! God Bless, Peace and Love, Roxanne

Deepest Sympathies to Catherine and family Well Reg, Glastonbury will not seem the same without you. I will always remember the many wonderful restaurants you brought us too. Our golf games...what fun we had especially when I would let you think you won. Our many boat rides, especially the one to Montague when there was a wet t-shirt contest and you bought me, Betty and Catherine all t-shirts. Someone as good as you should be able to live forever. I will see you on the other side. Your friend Jane Mann, Montreal

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. My memories of Reg include the yearly visits to Montreal that always held something special- especially that year where he brought us the NEW technology of the VCR - wow what a great spring break we had that year - I also have the memory of spending some holidays with Reg – The best family vacation ever, had to be the time we got to visit Rhode Island and stayed on the boat – my first clam bake – We had so much fun. I also got the opportunity to stay with Catherine and Reg in Florida with my daughter Nikki one spring break a few years back - she reminded me yesterday – how Reg took us to dinner to an a Hawaiian restaurant where Nik got to learn how to Hula Dance . Thank you Reg for these memories I will always treasure. To Catherine – Heidi , Rhonda – Ruth and the rest of the family - May your memories comfort you. Love Alana – Mike and Nikki

My dearest Cathy and Heidi, and of course to Rhonda and Ruth, my deepest sympathy on the loss of Reg. I have fond memories of him - some in Hartford, some in Montreal and here in PEI. Lots of laughs too. May you know he is at peace now (unless Milie is driving him crazy up there, LOL) but his suffering is over. He had a long, full life and you should have no regrets for all you have done for him. You will miss him, naturally, but take some time and do not forget to live life and take care of yourselves and each other too. He would want that. We are thinking about you and praying for you now and in the coming weeks and months. Know that we are only a phone call away should you wish to talk - don't worry about the time. Love always Amy

Cathy I was so very sorry to her the news about Reg. It has been a very rough road for you for far too long. You are in my thoughts often. Perhaps in a month or so, a trip to Florida for some quiet time in the sun might help. Say the word and I'll send up a ticket. Please take care of yourself. My deepest condolences to you and Heidi.
