Obituary of John Joseph O'Connell IV
John Joseph O’Connell IV, 57, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Kitti (Dubran) O’Connell, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1967 to Suzanne (O’Dea) and the late John Joseph O’Connell III in Boston, MA. John was a graduate of East Catholic High School and Providence College and was also a co-owner of Nutmeg International with his siblings. John was “the best dad in the world” and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his daughters, golfing, going to the beach and jumping waves, bike riding and teaching everyone to drive. He also enjoyed traveling, skiing, racecar driving with Kitti, and he was a board member of the CT Automotive Retailers Association. John is survived by his wife Kitti, his three beloved daughters, Emma, Lucy, and Aria, and his mother Suzanne O’Connell. Also, his sister Suzanne DePasquale, her husband Patrick, of Glastonbury, and their children George, Suzanne, and Kathleen, and his brother Timothy O’Connell and his wife Laura, of Rocky Hill, and their children Kaeley, Sean, Jaiden, and Ryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 am in Saint Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
