Ron was my friend. This hurts more then i can say. I worked with him since when he started until he was medically retired. He helped me through my divorce and I considered him one of my closest friends. I love him more than he would ever know. RIP my brother.

Dear families, we are deeply sorry for your loss. We Can not imagine how big your sorrow would be, even our heart is aching so much. Ron was the most genuine, humble and respectful person we knew. We first met Ron at girls’ kindergarten classroom and ever since Julie and the Floyd’s became part of our Glastonbury family. At many family gatherings, bbqs, he always came with big smiles and bags of charcoal. We are honored be able to say him as a friend and so sad to say good bye. Please let us know if there’s anything we can help. Sending out prayers for all.

To Ron’s Family, Friends, and Loved Ones,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve known Ron since he came to Collins, and immediately liked him as did all his Collins workmates. He was great addition to our group, and a pleasure to work with. I’m very impressed by all his accomplishments, but not surprised at all based on what I’ve seen from him in the short time I’ve known him. I will be praying for you all and hope happy memories will eventually replace your current heartache.

Dear Sharon and family, I am heartbroken over the news of Ron's passing. I remember his big smile so well. His obituary pays such a beautiful tribute to all he accomplished in his life and he is definitely leaving those he loved much too soon. Our prayers and sympathy are with you. Doug and Teresa Hill

I'm still at a loss for words. Although time has passed, I will hold the memories of our childhood close. Get togethers at Grams, cookouts at your house, etc. I know you're reunited with Uncle Al, James and Howard (as well as others), probably fishing. I will miss you cousin. Take your rest.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are sleepovers at the Floyd household as a child with my cousins. Since I grew up in a different state, summertime was the most likely time that I'd get to spend time with our Connecticut family. I will miss my fellow July birthday cousin immensely. Ron was fun with a capital "F." He had the best laugh, the best sense of humor and will always be my cool, big cousin. I've been blessed in adulthood to have seen him a little more than a year ago, where I got to introduce him to my children. Although I haven't gotten to see him over the years as much as I would have liked, it never felt like much time had passed when we were together. On behalf of myself and my family, my prayers are with the Floyd and Ruiz families.

Ron and I go way back… he was always laughing and smiling. Except for one day in 1st grade, he and I were in art class and thought it would be a good idea to have a paint fight. Back in those days, the “smocks” were one of our dad’s old cotton shirts so they didn’t protect much. After class, we noticed paint on our clothes… mine in my sundress and some on Ron’s salmon collar shirt, the kind with the little alligator… he started crying and I got in trouble! Years later when we reminisced about that day he would say “I cried cause I knew my mama was going to be pissed and I didn’t want to get in trouble!” He said this with a mischievous grin like he had done it on purpose. He was such a light, whenever we worked together at Pascoes it was always sure to be a fun night filled with laughs. He will be missed for sure. Rest well, friend
