I live on Garden Street and would often see Violet sitting on her front porch in the summer evening. When I would walk by, she always waved to me and would comment on the weather. Although I did not know her, she seemed like such a sweet, kind lady.
My deepest sympathy to all her family.

As a childhood friend of Paige, I have collected so many fond memories of Vi. She was a fun lady and a fantastic story teller. Vi could relay a seemingly ordinary story— whether an interaction with a neighbor, her take on someone preparing fish in an iron skillet, or a particular political candidate’s pants suit in a way that would have everyone in the room in absolute stitches.
Vi had an eye for decorating; she loved to welcome guests into her beautiful home and share the details of newly acquired pieces. She would generously share her expertise; whether a stock tip, decorating tip, or the phone number of a local grandfather clock expert.
The most striking thing I observed over the years was Vi’s love for her family and especially close connection with Paige and Austyn. They traveled together and visited often in better times, and spoke multiple times a day in recent times. I want to extend my love and condolences to Vi’s family. May your lifetime of memories of Vi comfort you.

I will always remember our conversation at the table;
"Vi, would you like some tea?" I asked
"no, I don't think so" she sighed
"cup of coffee?"
"no, I don't think so"
"cookie?"
"That sounds nice, and a cup of tea, that sounds nice"
I can still hear her voice, even though we visited only three times. In three visits she impacted me for a lifetime.
Violette - I will miss you, and thank you for letting me share those few precious moments of your life. They are my treasures.

Vi was a force to be reckoned with! (And that kept her going!) She had a good eye for antiques and could certainly "wheel and deal" a bargain. Her spirit kept her moving at The Atria _ dancing, singing and keeping the staff amused. Over the years, I have witnessed such genuine care and concern demonstrated by the Dolce family (taking her out to her favorite places and so many other caring gestures); her former caretaker, Yvette; and more recently by grandaughter Austyn going to The Atria daily to tend to her. Vi was truly loved by her family and so many! May she find peace and be a light in our lives.

Violet Frascarelli was one of the toughest people I have ever known. Nothing that anyone could say or do could keep her down. Whenever something bad would happen she would just shrug it off and keep on going with her day. It was a privilege to know her and she is the type of person we should all strive to be.
