Obituary of Gayla M. Booth
Gayla Booth, 65, of Glastonbury, passed away unexpectedly last week. She is predeceased by her parents, Ned and Eleanor Galvin, her husband, Gregory Booth, and her oldest son, Travis Booth. Originally from Massachusetts, Gayla earned an Associate's Degree from Greenfield Community College where she met her future husband, Gregory Booth. The two quickly married and eventually relocated to Connecticut, settling down in Glastonbury. Before starting a family, Gayla and Greg travelled extensively. Trips to Paris and Hawaii were among the most memorable during this time period. Gayla had three sons, Travis, Tyler, and Troy, whom she loved dearly. Countless trips to parks and museums, rides to friends' houses, and chaperoning school field trips are a few of the many things Gayla did to make sure she gave her boys a wonderful childhood. Working as a pharmacy technician at the old Glastonbury Town Pharmacy for a number of years, Gayla developed many friendships through her customer service. Gayla also had a close circle of girlfriends who cared deeply about her and who have done so much over the years to be there for her. Gayla always looked forward to a lunch date or day trip out with her friends. She is survived by her two loving sons, Tyler Booth and his wife Keri, and Troy Booth. She also leaves behind two grandchildren whom she adored, Jackson and Norah Booth. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 3pm at Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave in Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gayla's memory may be made to Protectors of Animals.
