Dear Dionne Family,
I was saddened to see your Mother's obituary and wanted to offer my sincere condolences. I worked with your Mother years ago at Hartford Hospital for many years. She was a very dedicated nurse and knowledgeable and enjoyed working with her.

Our family shares our deepest sympathies with the Corde-Dionne family. We had the pleasure of meeting Mary Ellen and her family during the latter part of her life. My grandmother Bernie and Mary Ellen were room buddies in a rehab facility. During such a low point in their lives, they blossomed a friendship that created comfort, love and positivity. They became inseparable best buds and continued their relationship post-rehab release. Mary Ellen provided our family with peace of mind each night we left the rehab facility because we knew Bernie was in good hands and good company. Mary Ellen was a ray of light in a time of darkness. We can only hope that we reciprocated the love she shared with us. We continue to cherish the wonderful times we shared with her and are so very thankful for her friendship.

Such a strong and independent person. Many memories of Mary Ellen and her family when I was growing up in East Hartford. I always admired her. May all your memories get you through this time of grief. Mary Boyle Gardner

So sorry for your loss, sending prayers and much positive energy. What a lady your Mary Ellen was!! She was perfect for me during some tumultuous years, opening your home to me and sharing that straight forward Brooklyn tough (and often very gentle) love!
I hope the joy of so many amazing days with this amazing woman fill your minds, heart and souls. She was special and those of us who knew her have been truly blessed. Wishing you each peace.

We will miss “Ma” Dionne- funny, truthful, honest, blunt and caring. Truly always lovingly proud of her family. A true blessing to have met her.
Don’t worry “Ma” I will always do as you asked and watch out for “Danny”
