Obituary of Darren Charles Hurley

Darren Charles Hurley, 45, of Glastonbury died Sunday Feb. 4, 2018.  He was born the son of Ann V. Scamuzzi of South Glastonbury and the late Harry Hurley.  He graduated from Glastonbury High School, class of 1991 and attended Manchester Community College.  Darren was a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed many games at Fenway with the family season tickets his dad purchased in the early 60’s. He would tell anyone who would listen that his first Red Sox game was while he was in his mother’s womb.  He repeated the tradition with his own son, enjoying many afternoons at Fenway, fishing in the pond and weekends on the Cape.  Besides his mother Ann, he leaves behind his son Colin Charles, his sister Lori Hurley, his nephews Chase and Chandler his Mom’s husband Bill Scamuzzi and his former wife Alison.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday (Feb. 8, 2018) at 10:00 am in St Paul Church, 2577 Main St. Glastonbury. Burial will be private in Cape Cod at the family’s convenience.  Family and friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury on Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2018) from 4-7pm.
