Obituary of Palmira T. Antonio
Palmira “Pam” T. Antonio, 85, of South Windsor, beloved wife for 60 years to the late Francisco Antonio, died Thursday June 8, 2017 in Glastonbury. Born November 20, 1931 in Paranhos da Beira, Portugal, daughter of the late Joao T. and Palmira (DaSilva) Garcia. She came to the United States in 1960 and settled in Hartford. Prior to her retirement, Pam was a tailor at Stackpole, Moore & Tryon, David’s Bridal and other boutiques. She was a past member of the South Windsor Community Chorus, she loved gardening and her family meant everything to her. Pam is survived by her son, Roy Antonio of Colchester, her daughter, Ana Almeida and her husband Joe Noonan of South Windsor, 3 grandchildren, Cristina and Mike Colanti, Jeffrey Scranton, Jonathan Scranton and 2 great grandchildren Maia and Mae Colanti, 2 sisters Maria Arminda and Maria Amelia both in Portugal, her close in-laws, Maria and Manuel Teixeira, Antonio and Nelida Salgado, Emilia Salgado, Odette Salgado, and many nieces and nephews in Portugal and the Hartford Area. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 12 at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St., West Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, TODAY from 6-8pm.
