Obituary of Ramon Ferro
Ramon A. Ferro, 70, of Glastonbury, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Born May 12, 1942 in Bayonne, NJ, son of the late Frank and Lillian (Algeria) Ferro (Ferrateza), he grew up on Staten Island and had lived in Glastonbury for the past 46 years. He graduated from Cornell University in 1965 where he attended on a Exxon academic scholarship. He was an outstanding high school football player, a past president of the Glastonbury Jaycees and one year voted the outstanding Jaycee. He was an avid Yankee and Giant fan and was proud that his 2 grandchildren played little league for the Yankees in Belfast, ME. He is survived by his 3 children, David Ferro and his partner John Wyszynski of Denver, CO, Mark Ferro of Martha's Vineyard, Jodi Ferro of Belfast, ME, his 2 grandchildren, Rhiana and Luca Harris, his present companion Frances Rickard of Glastonbury, the mom of his children Linda, his former wife Shirley, his step children, Rick, Beth and Gretchen, his brother Francis Ferro and his wife Pam of Albany, NY, his nephews and niece, John, Diane and Anthony and his dogs Ted and Henry. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday June 29 from 5-8pm. Funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, tscalliance.org, a disease that his grandson Luca has. To share a memory please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
