Obituary of Encarnacao Esteves Salvador

Encarnacao (Esteves) Salvador, 91, of Glastonbury, wife for 65 years to the late Antonio Salvador, died Thursday January 19, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her family. Born December 14, 1925 in Portugal, daughter of the late Jose and Tereza (da Cunha) Esteves, she had lived in Glastonbury since 1983. Prior to her retirement she worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. She was a member of the Portuguese Continental Union. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Maria Salvador of South Windsor, 3 daughters and a son-in-law Theresa Williams of Hartford, Mary and Charles Sorbo of Plainville, Dolores Malignaggi of Hartford, a brother Jack Esteves and his wife Hilda of Glastonbury, 2 grandchildren Marissa St. Louis and her husband Brian, Stephanie Sorbo and 2 great grandchildren Sidney and Maxton St. Louis. The family would like to thank all their family and friends that visited her during her illness and all the staff at the hospital, Brookdale and nursing homes and her home aides for their care and compassion shown to their mother. Funeral service will be Monday Jan.23 at 10:15am from the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury to St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday Jan. 22 from 4-6pm.
