Obituary of Carol Ann Pehr

It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol Ann (Vullo) Pehr, 77, of Rocky Hill formerly of Glastonbury, wife of the late Felix E. Pehr, Jr., on Friday January 13, 2017 at the UCONN Health Center. Born Jan. 5, 1940 in Hartford, daughter of the late Sam and Sarah (LaMonto) Vullo, she had lived most of her life in Glastonbury moving to Rocky Hill 24 years ago. Prior to her retirement, Carol was a secretary for the Transportation Dept. for the Glastonbury Board of Education. Back in the 1970’s she sang with the Sweet Adeline’s and was currently an active member of the Rocky Hill Senior Center. Carol is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Denise and Jay Whalen of Glastonbury, 2 grandchildren Rebecca and Matthew Whalen, 2 brothers and their wives, John and Joyce Vullo, Sal and Carole Vullo all of Glastonbury, 2 brothers-in-law and their wives, Frank and Claudette Pehr of New Mexico and Paul and Kathleen Pehr of Glastonbury and several nieces and nephews and her grand puppy Gia. Funeral service will be Thursday Jan. 19 at 11am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury.
