Obituary of Kenneth and Judith Neurath

Kenneth W. Neurath and Judith (Wilson) Neurath of Glastonbury passed away suddenly at their home, September 29th. They were loving and devoted companions, married for over 55 years. Ken was the son of the late Henry W. and Dorothy (Kienell) Neurath. Judy was daughter of the late Thomas W. and Pauline (Alling) Wilson. Ken and Judy had been residents of Glastonbury for over 40 years and enjoyed their summers, family, and friends at their beach house in Stonington CT. Ken, forever a Marine, retired from Otis Elevator after 37 years. Strong, gentle, and loving he remained even through his physical limitations, inspiring us to continue pushing forward. Judy had a great sense of fun and enthusiasm. She understood that minds like our bodies need constant nourishment; they were avid readers, and enjoyed traveling the world. Judy, a pilot and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, was an inspiring example of love and strength for her family and anyone who knew her. Ken and Judy were the loving and supportive parents of their son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Kimberly Neurath, also of Glastonbury. Their two grandchildren Mason and Amelia were their light. “It was only a sunny smile and little it cost in the giving, but like the morning light, it scattered the night and made the day worth living”. They are also survived by Larry, their much beloved friend. Ken is survived by his sister Merva McGuire of Rocky Hill, a niece Dorothy Tucker and a grandnephew Christopher Pratt. Judy is survived by her brother Dr. Kevin Wilson and his wife Jan of Forest Grove, OR and their son Nicholas, a sister Farrel Wilson Marienthal and her husband Philip of Evanston, IL and their son Benjamin. “I was born the day you kissed me and I died the day you left me.
