Obituary of Gary W. Flanigan

Gary W. Flanigan, 70, of East Hartford, passed in peace at his home on Monday September 5, 2016. Born March 23, 1946 in Irvington, NJ, son of the late Edward T. and Dorothy Flanigan. Gary served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and spent the next years owning his own transportation companies. He was the loving father of Alex Flanigan and Cheri Flanigan, and proud grandfather of Jonathan. He is survived by cousin Doug Van Houten, good friend and former wife Janice Flanigan, along with his beloved nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Calling hours are Sunday Sept. 11 from 1:00-3:00pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, followed by an opportunity to share stories of Gary. The celebration will be concluded with military honors.
