Obituary of E. Michael Stevens

E. Michael Stevens, 70, of Sausalito, CA, and Marlborough, CT, husband of Judy (Rickard) Stevens, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT. He was born on December 16, 1945, in Waterbury, CT to the late George and Lourance (Haddad) Stevens and graduated from Thomaston High School in 1963. He worked side by side for many years with his late brother, Louis Stevens, in the family grocery store, the Center Market. Mike received his MBA in finance from Babson College, graduating number one in his class after obtaining a degree in economics from Fairfield University. Prior to his retirement, he was a financial officer with US Leasing in San Francisco. He was instrumental in starting and was a great supporter of the Sausalito Dog Park. Besides his wife he is survived by his sister, Carol Stevens, and her husband, David Lasprogato, of Canton, CT; his sister-in-law, Alina Stevens, of Port St. Lucie, FL; his nephew, Gregory Stevens, of Hollywood, FL; his niece, Krystina Schulze, her son, Richy, of Hebron, CT; and his faithful service dog, Gracie, who was forever by his side. Services will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT.
