Obituary of Francis E. Wheeler
Francis E. “Frank” Wheeler, 77, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Brenda (Brenza) Wheeler, died Thursday April 7, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Born July 15, 1938 in Lancaster, NH, son of the late Harlan L. and Ethel (Blais) Wheeler, he had lived in East Hartford for the past 16 years. Frank was a Sheet Metal worker for Union #40 and had served in the US Army. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Michael Nadeau and their children Noah and Samantha of Colchester, Sarah and Bill Mager and their children Charlie, Matt and Stephanie of Andover, his son and his wife Michael and Kathleen Wheeler and their son Ryan of Ellington, his step daughter and her husband Tanya and Chris Strauss of Glastonbury. He enjoyed the memories of summers in North Stratford, NH at Stratford Bog fishing and sharing stories at his camp. His good sense of humor gained him many good friends during his lifetime. With his handy man skills and drive for perfection, he was always lending a helping hand or his knowledgeable advice to family and friends whenever needed. Funeral and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, 2nd floor, Rocky Hill, CT. 06067.
