Obituary of Alan W. Blum

Alan W. Blum, 60, of Wethersfield, died Tuesday (January 12, 2016) at St. Francis Hospital. Born April 7, 1955 in Hartford, son of the late Eugene and Phyllis (Checovettes) Blum, he lived in Wethersfield for many years. He is survived by five brothers, James E. Blum and his wife Florence of Hillsborough, NJ, Curtis J. Blum of Wethersfield, Terrence P. Blum and his wife Jean of Meriden, John A. Blum and his wife Maria of East Hartford and Kevin P. Blum of Middletown; five nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Alan worked as a printer and enjoyed music, reading and playing the guitar. Calling hour will be held Saturday Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT. followed by a service at 11am.
