Obituary of Francis Patrick Mulryan

Francis Patrick “Frank” Mulryan, 91, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband for 67 years to Edith (Dewart) Mulryan, died Wednesday December 16, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Born May 21, 1924 in Hartford, son of the late Patrick J. and Margaret (Tierney) Mulryan, he had lived in the Hartford area all his life. Prior to his retirement in 1980 he worked for IBM in Hartford. He had served in the US Army during World War II. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Newington where he started the Senior Club. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Nancy and Mark McNally of Rocky Hill, Tom and Tara Mulryan, Dan Mulryan and Maureen Pollard, and Kevin and Lori Mulryan all of Glastonbury. He also leaves 12 grandchildren; Ryan McNally, Justin McNally, Meghan Hickey and her husband Kevin, Erin Wilson and her husband Andy, Kaitlin Mulryan, Kara Willbanks and her husband Justin, Colleen Mulryan, Patrick Mulryan, Colin Mulryan, Sean Mulryan and Ashley Mulryan and five great grandchildren, Avery, Reagan, Lindley, Harper and Reece. He was predeceased by his four sisters, Mary Mulryan, Elizabeth Farrelly, Margaret Johnson and Kathryn Mulryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Dec. 21 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury Sunday from 2-5pm.
