Obituary of Lucian D. Agnellino
Lucian D. Agnellino, 85, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Carmela (Cardello) Agnellino, entered into eternal rest Thursday November 12, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Born Dec. 8, 1929 in Hartford, son of the late Nicholas and Tomasina (Verilli) Agnellino, he had lived in Glastonbury since 1964. Prior to his retirement he was Shop Steward for the Amalgamated Meat Cutters union at Boulevard Beef Co. in Hartford. Lou graduated from Weaver High School and had served in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Newport News. He was an avid golfer, loved to read, play chess, garden and vacation at the beach. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Linda and John Warner of Glastonbury, his sister Gloria Agnellino of Glastonbury, his grandchildren, Matthew Warner and his wife Amanda of Glastonbury, Jenna Warner and her fiancé Nick Blaise of Hamden, Jessica Brigantty and John Warner, and his brother-in-law Angelo Cardello of Rocky Hill. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at St. Francis Hospital and Dr. Maria Santos for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday Nov. 17 at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Paul’s Church, Glastonbury. The Mulryan Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
