Obituary of John W. Palochko

John W. Palochko, 67, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Joanne (Carukin) Palochko and father of Jonathan Palochko, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. John was born in Hartford on November 26, 1947 to the late John and Cecelia (Lach) Palochko. He earned a BA from CCSU and then graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Hartford, and worked most recently at MassMutual in Springfield, MA as a Computer Analyst. John had a great passion for literature and enjoyed reading, music, photography, golf and foreign cinema. He also loved summer days at the ocean in Stonington, Watch Hill, and Amston Lake. Besides his wife and son, John is survived by his brother Robert Palochko, his sister-in-law Mary-Ellen Conforto, his niece, Jennifer Conforto, his nephew, Matthew Conforto, his grandniece Ella Conforto, as well as several aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Palochko. A special thank you to the Hartford Hospital Bliss 9-ICU nurses and staff for their invaluable care and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, July 18 at 10AM. in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends and family may call, Friday, July 17, from 4PM to 7PM at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
