Obituary of Rita M. Roberge

Rita (McGuire) Roberge, 89, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Napoleon “Bud” Roberge, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015. She was born in Hartford, on February 18, 1926, to the late Felix and Florence (Sweetland) McGuire. Rita worked as an Executive Secretary for Cigna, and enjoyed gardening, birds, fine dining and shopping, travelling, UConn Basketball, and trips to the Goodspeed Opera House. She is survived by her sisters Lorraine Gilbert, and her husband Russell of Vernon, and Barbara Kennedy of South Windsor, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law Joseph Kennedy and nephew Michael Kennedy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, May 19 at 11:00a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Friends may call, Monday, May 18 from 5p.m. to 8p.m. at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Donations in Rita’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
