Obituary of Albert Pucino

Albert L. Pucino, 93, of Glastonbury, CT., husband of the late Filemeno (Orsino) Pucino, died Thursday Sept. 8, 2011 at the Marlborough Health Care Center. Born March 11, 1918 in Newburgh, NY, son of the late Pellegrino and Victoria (Lodato) Pucino he had lived in Newburgh, NY until moving to Glastonbury 14 years ago. Prior to his retirement he was a shop foreman for Mary Anne Handbags in New Windsor, NY. He was very active in politics in Newburgh and was a supervisor and committeeman for the 5th Ward. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Pastime Athletic Club both in Newburgh. Albert had served in the US Army during World War 2 where he received the Bronze Star. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Albert T. and Kathy Pucino of Glastonbury, 2 grandchildren David Pucino of St. Louis and Lindsay Pucino of Somerville, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Sept. 10 at 10am in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury.
