Obituary of Mildred Ciak

Mildred (Marcin) Ciak, 91, of South Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Bronis Ciak, died Thursday September 1, 2011 at Rockville Hospital. Born September 28, 1919 in Manchester, CT., daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Weber) Marcin, she had lived in Glastonbury since 1962. Prior to her retirement she had worked for Aetna Insurance Co. Mildred was an independent woman with deep faith. She loved the NY Yankees and never missed a game. She enjoyed parties, playing cards, going out to eat and golf. Mildred always had a positive outlook on life and was a happy person who was loved by her family. She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Peter Kasavage of CA., Edward Cavanaugh of South Glastonbury, Valerie Krebs of NY, Richard Cavanaugh of South Glastonbury, Charles Cavanaugh of West Hartford, Bob Ciak of Southington, Jack Ciak of Wethersfield, Frank Ciak of KN, Ronald Ciak of Southington, Tom Ciak of MO, Robert West of Chester, John Anderson of OR, Roger Clough of NH, Alan Clough of NC, Lynn Nelligan of MA, and Mary Fabrizio of Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday Sept. 6, at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury Monday Sept. 5, from 3-5pm.
