Obituary of Patricia Clark
Patricia M. Clark
Pat Clark, 77, passed away Monday (May 23, 2011) after a brief illness. Pat was the wife of Frank B. Clark and a longtime Glastonbury resident. Born on August 8, 1933 in Suffern, NY she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Frances (Conklin) McNair. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Pat leaves behind two daughters, Melissa Baribault and her husband David of Middle Haddam and Debbie Nelson and her husband Peter of Darien as well as five grandchildren, Allyson and William Baribault and Timothy, Scott and Matthew Nelson, and her brother Gilbert Y. McNair, Jr. of California. An energetic and creative woman, Pat was a well loved elementary school teacher in Glastonbury for almost 35 years. Pat received her BA from SUNY-New Paltz and was named to Who's Who among students in American Universities and Colleges. She also held a MA in Education from Central Connecticut State University. Pat taught Kindergarten through third grades at Buttonball, Eastbury and Hebron Avenue schools. After retiring from teaching, Pat and Frank enjoyed many sunsets at their lake house in New Hampshire, traveling with friends and time with their family. Pat was an amateur painter and enjoyed bird watching, cross word puzzles and gardening. She was a Silver Member of the First Church of Christ Congregational where she service on various boards and committees. A memorial service will be Friday (May 27, 2011) at 10:00 a.m. in the First Church of Christ Congregational 2183 Main St. Glastonbury. Burial will be private at a later date. Family and friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave Glastonbury on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
