Obituary of John Strasdauskas

John J. Strasdauskas, 60, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Irene (Nasin) Strasdauskas, died Friday March 11, 2011 at home. Born February 23, 1951 in Waterbury, son of the late Casimir Strasdauskas and Josephine (Radzunas) Strasdauskas Halkett he was raised in Waterbury and had lived in Glastonbury since 1984. John was manager of Uncle Bob's Self Storage in Suffield. He was a member of the Suffield Chamber of Commerce and was active in promoting children's sports teams. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Casimir Strasdauskas of Glastonbury, his step children Donna McHenry of Willimantic, Leo Ouellette of Windsor Locks, a brother Robert Strasdauskas of Wolcott, 2 sisters Sandra Riley of Prospect, Grace Halkett of Waterbury and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday March 16 at 10am in St. Anthony's Church, Prospect. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Tuesday March 15 from 6-8pm.
