Obituary of Robert Cashman

Robert W. Cashman, 89, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Veona (Hart) Cashman, died Thursday, January 22, 2014 at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Born in Asbury Park, NJ on December 27, 1925 to the late Frank L. and Ethel (Rose) Cashman, Robert had lived in Glastonbury for 36 years. He served in the Army during WWII and was member of the VFW. Robert was an avid stargazer and a member of the Astronomer's Club in Middletown. Besides his wife Robert is survived by his 6 children, Mark Cashman of NY, Traci Constantine of Glastonbury, Laurene D'Aversa, and her husband Douglas, of East Hartford. Lyle Cashman and his wife Kim of NC, Shari Melillo and her husband Peter, of New Hartford, Cyndie Cashman and her fiancé Barry Zorda, of Coventry, his 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, Vanessa, Christina, Amanda, Melissa, Ryan, Michael, Nathan, Joshua, Joel, and Timothy, and his great grandchild, Joliena. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Cashman. Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours.
