We were so very saddened to read about Steve's passing in the recently delivered Glastonbury Citizen. Steve always had a warm smile on his face and I remember how he "backed you up" at our Gideon Welles Christmas parties at your home. John remembers him as a gentle and kind person, and perhaps this was due to his TN background. We will keep him in our prayers.

Dear Carolyn and Family: I was so saddened to hear of Steven's passing. He was such a kind gentle soul. Hopefully, all the wonderful memories you share will be a comfort in the days ahead. I sure appreciated all the photos he took and shared with us on our trip to Spain a few years ago. It really added to our memories.

Dear John and Bill: The news of your brother Steve passing away came to me from my brother Dave this afternoon as I was preparing to drive home from work. While saddened by the thought that Steve has gone his picture and his infectious grin did bring back a flood of good memories from the times we all spent as neighbors living on Frost Lane and growing up together at ARHS. My most favorite memory was of watching Steve dance the Jitterbug at the Friday Night Sock Hops at the cafeteria at ARHS. He was the best and always had that same grin on his face as he danced. May God bring his blessings to you and your families during this time of sorrow and healing.

ARHS Class of '61 has lost a kind and gentle soul. Steve always had a smile for each of us and I regret losing touch over the decades. I hold dearly the memory of your wedding and marvel at the many years you had together. With each passing our children are becoming the elders. Your children are so lucky to have their Dad as a model. I wish you each strength and healing in the months ahead. --Peter Hendrickson, Redmond WA

My sympathy goes out to Steve's family. I met Steve when I came to IBM and he remained a friend over the years. Last time we talked it was about how important family was, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Carol and family - We just learned from a few IBM colleagues who live in the CT area about Steve's passing earlier this week. We are so sorry. We remember the nice time we had when you and Steve came over to visit us here in Cape Coral, FL while you were vacationing out on Sanibel Island, and we always looked forward to receiving your annual family Christmas Card. Steve was a very genteel guy, very family oriented and a great pleasure to work with at IBM. Cancer is such a terrible, terrible disease. In this modern age of the iPhone, Internet, joint replacements, organ transplants...etc. it is so hard to imagine that they have still not yet found a cure for this horrible disease. We can only hope and pray that they continue to focus on this disease and find a cure in our lifetime. We will remember all of you in our daily prayers for the strength to get through this. Hang in there. God Bless you all, Ann and JJ Milaski and Family. Cape Coral, FL

Carolyn and Family, It was a sad day to learn of Steven's passing. Steven was a great customer at Elmo's that Joe and I considered friend. Steven always had a smile on his face, never complained about a thing and always so positive and I felt like I knew his whole family the way he beamed when he shared a family story about his children or grandchildren. I will miss him coming in and ordering his Merlot, cup of chowder and 3 Fried Shrimp with a baked potato, finishing up with a black coffee. Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss, he will truly be missed. May Steven rest in eternal peace, our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Blackmore family. Love, Phyllis and Joe DeLisa
