Obituary of Anna Martino

Anna (Moar) Martino, of Glastonbury, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Born September 16, 1924 in New York City, daughter of the late Jesus and Anna (Serrano) Moar, she had lived in East Hartford many years moving to Glastonbury 4 years ago. She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Philip Lawell of Narragansett, RI, Maggie and Roman Sywak of South Glastonbury, her beloved granddaughter Amanda Moar Sywak of New York City, 4 sisters; Mary Gonzalez of NC, Alice Jimenez, Dolores Pan and Aurora (Dolly) Garaventa all of NY, her dear friend Penny Besmond of Hebron and several nieces and nephews. Anna's family would like to thank the staff at Glastonbury Health Care, especially her caregivers Valerie and Carol for their care and compassion shown to their mother during her stay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 30, at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. There are no calling hours.
