Myron & Maggie Varner & family posted a condolence
Monday, September 29, 2014
Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies to Pam and all of our Pettit families. When I was a kid I'll always remember Nancy as a young lady who would come to our home on occasions and tell stories of travel and skiing in Europe opening my eyes to places far away and a new sport which I pursue to this very day. I always saw her as so very cosmopolitan, vivacious with a nice laugh and a pretty smile......... :) Myron Varner

Harold & Martha Greenberg posted a condolence
Saturday, September 27, 2014
Martha and I were deeply sadden to hear of Nancy's passing. She came into my son's life when he was a teenager in need of a tutor. He called her Ms. Pettit and she not only provided the tutoring, but she gave so much of herself as a mentor. She gave him emotional support, when he needed it the most. They were to become good friends. They spoke to each other every week for many years. Ms. Pettit was part of our family. Jonathan would not be the man he is today without the help and friendship of Ms. Pettit. She will be sorely missed.
