Obituary of Joan Chapman

Joan Cornish Chapman born on May 10, 1929 passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, (September 17, 2014). Born in Glastonbury daughter of the late Willard and Audrey Cornish .She lived in Glastonbury her entire life. She graduated from Glastonbury High School having served as the Class President in 1947. She was married to the late Raymond H. Chapman for 60 years. She was predeceased by her two brothers Edwin "Ippy" Cornish and Lee Cornish. She leaves her two daughters, Susan Chapman, Jane Thomas and her husband James (Skip), her two sons James Chapman and Travis Chapman and his wife Hilary. She leaves seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many friends and relatives. Joan was a faith filled woman who loved her family and touched the lives of all she knew. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Dunstan, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and World Changers International, 5527 South Lewis, Tulsa, OK 74105.
