Obituary of Rocco Loscalzo

Rocco A. Loscalzo, 97, of Glastonbury, beloved husband for 73 years of Marie T. Loscalzo, died on Wed. July 16, 2014 at Salmon Brook Center, Glastonbury. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Frank A. & Maria (Pepe) Loscalzo. He was beloved brother of Theodora Baldoni of Florida and the late Isabel Capella. He was a proud World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in the North African/European Theatre as crew-chief of fighter planes. He retired from Stanadyne Automotive Corp. in 1980. He was a member of the Men's Club of St. Paul's Church. Besides his wife, he leaves his beloved children Frank R. Loscalzo and his wife, Carol, of Montvale, NJ, Nancy A. Darr and her companion, Don Aubrey of Murrels Inlet, SC, and James R. Loscalzo and his wife, Deb MacLean, of Rocky Hill. He also leaves his loving grandchildren Thomas R. Darr and his wife Debi, Karen B. Loscalzo and her husband Peter Capozucca, Robert F. Loscalzo and his wife Stacey, and Steven J. Loscalzo, step-grandson Christopher Diamond, and great-grandchildren Ryan & Jason Capozucca, and Caroline & Katherine Loscalzo, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 19, 2014 at 9:30 am from Mulryan Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury at 10 am. Burial with full military honors will be at St. Augustine's Cemetary, South Glastonbury.
