Obituary of Jean Accornero
Jean E. (Warren) Accornero, 88, of South Glastonbury, beloved wife of Mario L. Accornero, died Tuesday June 17, 2014 at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. Born June 10, 1926 in Glastonbury, daughter of the late Austin J. and Gertrude (Affleck) Warren she was a lifelong resident. Jean was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, a 65 year member of the Glastonbury Grange, a 74 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Women's Auxiliary Company #2. Besides her husband of 64 years she is survived by her five children; Louis Accornero of South Glastonbury, Jane and Robert Stewart of Newington, Susan Lemke of South Glastonbury, Ann and Daniel Posuniak of Glastonbury and Laura Didden of Glastonbury, two sisters Doris Monaco and Priscilla Schmartz both of Glastonbury, nine grandchildren, Matthew and Kristi Accornero, Meghan Stewart, Brian and Andrew Didden, P.J. Lemke, Tom Posuniak, Jessica Brown and Tom Stewart, and two great grandchildren Callie and Olivia Accornero and a sister-in-law Angela Maestri of North Palm, FL. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Paul Lemke. A special thank you to the nurses and staff on the 10th floor Step Down Unit at Hartford Hospital and New Britain Hospital for Special Care for the care and compassion shown to Jean. A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday June 19 at 11:00am in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 915 Main St., South Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury TODAY from 5-8pm.
