Obituary of Angelina Sarni

Angelina (D'Andrea) Sarni, of Glastonbury, and formally of Stamford and Riverside CT., entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the wondrous age of 101 years. Throughout those years "Angie" continually delighted many with her sharp wit and "spontaneous" one liners. Many of these barbs were thoroughly enjoyed (and shared) by all that knew and loved her. Angie was born on January 19, 1913 in Riverside, CT to the late Lawrence and Mary D'Andrea (Perna) and into a family of 11 brothers and sisters. Angie is predeceased by her husband Peter, and 8 of her 10 siblings. Surviving members include her sister, Nora Demilia of Greenwich, and her brother Joseph D'Andrea of Fairfield, CT. She is also survived by her son, Peter, and his wife Deb, of Glastonbury, CT and her grandchildren, Dawn Silvia and her husband Laurindo and son Tyler, of Hebron, Ohio, and Mark Sarni and his wife Melissa, and their children, Julia, Ryan, and Kyle of Glastonbury, CT. We, the family members of Angie, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mountain Laurel Assisted Living in Glastonbury for their outstanding care of our mother, our grandmother, and our great grandmother over the past three years. She could not have been in a better place. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
