Obituary of Joanne Vullo

Joanne M. Vullo, 50, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of John J. Vullo, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Hartford Hospital. Born July 3, 1963 in Neptune, NJ, daughter of Katherine (O'Connell) McGowan of Suffield and the late William F. McGowan she had lived in Glastonbury for the past 30 years. Joanne graduated from Enfield High School and Cazenovia College in NY. A horse lover Joanne was also an avid fan of youth sports, Miami Dolphins, New York Rangers, Hartford Wolf Pack and poker. Besides her husband and mother Joanne is survived by her children, Jenna and Joseph of Glastonbury, her brother William F. McGowan II of Suffield, her father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Joyce Vullo of Glastonbury and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins, including Peggy and Steve Schubert of Ellington. Friends may call Friday, November 22 from 5 to 8 PM at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Services will be private. Joanne's family would like to thank the staff of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center for their compassionate care during Joanne's illness.
