James (Jim) Downey was a great mentor, father , friend, grandfather and business man who served his purpose diligently.Jim treated me as family,he was definitely a father figure in my life.He often hire people to work then he worked alongside them even though he didn't need to.He was a very hard working person who would still find time for his family gatherings. In the year 2007 I was determined to purchase a multi family property and Jim came to my rescue after even my own Mother and others didn't helped me when I asked.I need $1,000 to sit in my account so the loan officer could see before the property closing. When I asked to borrow $1,000 he asked if I need more ,I said no lol,he then rushed to the Webster bank and loan me the money to make it possible to close on this property and i will forever be grateful for his kindness.James Downey was created unique by God and can not be duplicated. He will be truly missed,so may his laughter and great memories dwell with us until then, may he sleep in peace and his precious soul be comforted by our father's in heaven angels.

I’ll always remember James white electrical van parked in front of the house on Ford Road and the spotlights in the backyard that I always liked as the next-door neighbor and I convinced my parents to do the .Two of the things for some reason that stand out to me when I think of my childhood growing up next-door to the Downey family. May he rest in peace and may the family accept my condolences

I will always remember my uncle Jimmy. He always had that smile / grin whenever he shared something with me. He grabbed my attention at gram & grandpa’s house when we collected the money under the poker table & told me my first “dirty” joke when I was about 12 years old!!!! Wasn’t really a dirty joke but I will always remember it!!!! Love to Matt, Laurie, Missy, Mindy and my favorite Aunty Donna!!!! See you again Uncle Jimmy.
