I was saddened to read of Paul's passing in the URI magazine. Paul was a suite mate of mine as a sophomore and junior. He had a wonderful sense of humor and storytelling. While I have not seen either Paul or Sue since graduation, I remember them both very fondly. Please accept my condolences.

Sue and family,
I had fond memories of Paul during our time together with Glastonbury youth sports. I was sadden to see his obituary in the Citizen this past week. Far too young! My heartfelt condolences for your loss.

Sending our deepest condolences...We shared many soccer sidelines, anecdotes about the kids and sweat at the gym. Paul's sense of humor and upbeat attitude always brightened the day. He was a great guy.
Sincerely,

Sue, Michael, Jenna and Matt,
Nothing harder than losing a loved one. When the things we count on being in our lives every day are gone it can often leave a huge void. In time that void can be filled with all the wonderful gifts that person left us, in the form of memories that we cherish. Paul left a lifetime of those for us all.
Big hug from The Suriner's

I knew paul as a fun and smart guy who was up for just about any adventure. We ended up hiking and camping in the White Mouintains of New Hampshire with our kids and forged a deep friendship along the way. Excursions involved forgotten sleeping bags, mini golf, baseball, biking, fireworks and much more. Special memories were formed around the campfire late at night making s'mores, gazing at stars and telling stories. First thing in the morning, Paul rose like a beautiful sunrise and made sure we were well cared for throughout the day. He grew to respect the peaks and the weather, achieving 4,000 foot summits across the Northeast. We will miss his presence, his footsteps, his amazing laugh and his joyous outlook. Paul was larger than life itself and he leaves a huge void that we feel deeply.

Sue, Michael, Jenna and Matthew,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I am so saddened by your loss of Paul. He was such an incredible man - smart, kind, loving, funny, generous, and the list could go on and on. I loved his bear hugs, his larger than life personality, and his distinctive laugh.
When I was a child, my family spent a lot of time with the Marchinetti clan. From play dates at their house in Framingham or our house in Westborough, get togethers at Chuck E. Cheese and the Discovery Zone, vacations to Lake George and Disney World, and countless hours in the White Mountains of NH, camping, hiking, and bonding, we had the best of times. I looked to Paul and Sue like family members, a very special type of Uncle and Aunt. When I reflect on my childhood, many of my fond memories are of our times spent together and I will be forever grateful that we got to experience many life lessons together including but not limited to: crazy rain storms while setting up our camp site that taught us to work together and persevere; beautiful sunsets over the top of Mt. Washington as we arrived at Lakes of the Clouds hut feeling grateful for such a reward after pushing ourselves physically during a several-mile hike; intense games of Mini Golf in Lincoln that forced us to learn patience, sportsmanship and empathy as some of the younger kiddos in the group grew easily frustrated at the challenges that the course provided; hanging around the camp fire at night, sharing stories and our hopes and dreams, and just being with each other through ups and downs, working things out, figuring out the group dymanic, and growing up together - I am so grateful to have had these experiences during my childhood and adolescence. Thank you Paul, Sue and the Marchinetti kids for having such a positive impact on my life. Thank you for all the fun and special times, "Uncle" Paul. You will be deeply missed. Marchinettis - I love you all and I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.

I met Paul through the East Glastonbury Fish and Game Club. He was one of the happiest guys I’ve ever been fortunate enough to associate with, he was always willing to pitch in at club functions. He assisted me at the annual club field trial event held each fall. I used his sales skills and effervescent personality to sell a lot of raffle tickets to support the club. He will be truly missed by all the club members that were fortunate to have known him. You will be missed and remembered.

My deepest sympathy to the Marcinetti family.
Paul was one of those rare individuals that you truly enjoyed being with both personally and professionally. We spent many hours traveling together throughout New England and Upstate NY.
I’ll miss those long conversations and although I am a long-time Red Sox fan, Paul never held it against me.
His love for his family was always part of our conversations and I know that his time with them was cherished.
The fact that I will no longer be able to pick up the phone and call him just to say hello, leaves a hole in my heart. People like Paul are a rare breed and he will be truly missed.
Please know that you are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow.

My condolences to Paul's family. I have worked with him since 2011 and I always enjoyed our meetings and dinners together. I am shocked and saddened by Paul's passing and I will miss him. He was hard working, honest and knew how to sell. That is the business side. But I know Paul loved his family and always talked about his wife and children. We shared a lot in common on politics and there are very things about Paul that were negative other than the fact that he was a Yankees fan.

I knew Paul for many years through work, and instantly became friends after just one round of golf. He had a great sense of humor and really cared about what was important in life. He was so proud of his family and their accomplishments. He was a humble man and a caring man. He was also super smart and hardworking. I will miss our conversations about faith, family, politics and of course the Yankees. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Marchinetti Family.
Paul was always a pleasure and great individual to work with; positive and upbeat, ear-to-ear smile, and made sure he went the extra mile.
Paul being from NJ and me from NY, over the years we shared stories and laughs about the NY sports teams, coaching our kids in sports, how they were faring in college, and trips to Florida.
