Obituary of Mark Dzialo

Mark Dzialo, 70, of South Glastonbury, beloved husband of Susan (Salois) Dzialo, passed to his eternal rest on Saturday, December 9, 2023 while at home. He was born in Hartford on February 19, 1953 to the late Alexander and Frances (Tricka) Dzialo. He was a lifelong resident of South Glastonbury, happily rooted on family property purchased in 1909, and upon marrying, settled into the house his grandparents built.  He was the GHS football Hartwell Athlete in 1970, going on to also play football at AIC.  As a student he loved poetry, art, and music, played the trumpet and guitar, and was for many years a member and officer of The Choral Club of Hartford.  Mark made his career in insurance as an independent life insurance broker, occasionally enjoying tennis in his free time, and became an avid biker.  He also employed his many talents gardening, renovating the family lake house, and expanding the apiary originally started by his grandfather, into 'Mark's Apiary', beekeeping it real since 1963.   He enjoyed family trips to France, England, Scotland, and Italy, then in recent years enjoyed sun, sand, and warm water in Florida, islands of the Caribbean, and Akumal, Mexico. Besides his wife Mark is survived by his two sons, Matthew Dzialo of Fairfax, VA, and Peter (and Sarah) Dzialo and their twin daughters Elisabeth and Anne, and newly arrived James, of South Glastonbury,  his brother Alex (and Denise) Dzialo of Griswold, CT, brother Joseph (and Leslie) Dzialo of Longboat Key, FL, brother Thomas Dzialo (and Jacqueline Allingham) of West Hartford, CT, sister Anne Dzialo of Collinsville, CT, sister Elizabeth Klimasewiski (and Robert) of Colchester, CT, sister Patricia Dzialo of South Glastonbury,  cousin William (and Judy) Grabowicz of Wells, ME, and cousin Beth Grabowicz of Windsor Locks, CT as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 15 at 11 a.m. in SS Isidore and Marie Parish at St. Augustine Church, 77 Hopewell Rd. South Glastonbury. Burial will immediately follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury. Calling hours will be held Thursday December 14 from 4pm to 7pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
