Mike, We will miss you and remember all the good days. Mike was a friend, colleague and mentor to many of us who knew and worked with him for many years. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to pass along. His wit and candor is what drew people to him. I will miss his advice and the times we shared. I have known Mr. Vail since I met Michael Jr. in our 1st grade class at Buttonball Lane Elementary. I will always remember his smile and humor that lit up a room. His red Jeep Grand Cherokee, old school coca cola bottles in the refrigerator, learning that putting butter on steak is delicious, and trips to the Cape. And let us not forget shorts in the winter. Thanks for raising a real one Mr. Vail. Sit back, relax, and watch your son do the same.

My condolences to the Vail family and friends of Mike. I’ll miss seeing him out there on his riding lawnmower cutting the lawn, especially on his old mower with the missfire in the engine. And I’ll miss seeing him with his snow thrower clearing the sidewalk. He would extend his mowing time to cut some of my grass. And sometimes he’d continue to clear the sidewalk in front of my house. Mr. Vail was always a great guy I loved speaking with and learning from. Our conversations were over some nice meals, at the lacrosse field or back at his house. He welcomed me into his family with open arms. My condolences to my roommate and buddy Mike and the entire Vail family. Much Love OB

My condolences to the Entire Vail Family on the passing of your Husband ,Father and Brother . I knew Mike thru his brother Kim who I once worked with at Coca Cola . We would occasionally run into each other in Glastonbury the guy always had a smile on his face . We would talk about the business he was in I could tell he knew what it meant to be out there hustling for his family . I really enjoyed our conversations. Definitely taken way too soon I hope your memories last you a lifetime . I’m sure he will be watching over each and everyone of you . Rest In Peace .

Michael and i lived in Welles Village Housing where we played baseball and soccer daily with Gary Winch the Siwy's and others. Some days his father would pitch and umpire our games. I saw him at a class luncheon last year where we caught up after all these years. We had a great visit together Mark Sweetland
