We were so sorry to hear about Jim’s death. He and Mary and Katie were our next door neighbors for as long as we lived here. We knew them for over forty years. They were good neighbors. Jim had a wonderful garden and he was generous about sharing his wonderfully crop with others. Mary had a wonderful way with flowers and also loved sharing her knowledge with those of us who didn’t have her talents. They will be missed in our neighborhood, especially by our local fire department and those around us. Katie we hope you know you are always welcome here and if you need anything just knock! Jim was a teacher at heart. It was my pleasure to work with him at many an ems exam and he truly rooted for every candidate which entered. He was a public servant at heart. The world is a sadder place for his passing.

Jim always made sure we had popcorn in the office during his stay at Surfrider. That man loved going to the grocery store! I was lucky enough to have gotten some squash from his garden. Yes, always that twinkle in his eye and a smirk on his face❤️
