Obituary of Jaimie L. Shanahan
Jaimie Shanahan, 59, of East Hartford, died peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023 surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer.
Born on September 13, 1963 in East Hartford, where she resided her entire life, Jaimie was the daughter of the late James and Jean Shanahan. She spent 41 years working at Coca Cola where she almost never missed a day of work. Jaimie was a devout Catholic and would pray for everyone and anyone that she could. Her greatest blessings were her son and only child James Shanahan and her Granddaughter, Wren. Jaimie will be remembered by her loved ones for her faith, sense of humor, love of music and making sure that she did “right” by everyone she encountered.
She leaves behind her son James Shanahan and his wife Cailtin, her granddaughter Wren Shanahan, her sisters Kelly Faber, Lori Cassone and her husband Joseph, Bobbi Jo Pellegatto and her husband Steve, her nephews Jonathan Mazzarella, Brandon Faber, Colin Fabor, Anthony Pellegatto, Joseph Pellegatto, Daniel Pellegatto, nieces Gianna Pellegatto and Gabriella Cassone and special cousin, Jack Migliore. She also leaves behind her beloved Huskies Luke & Shana. Jaimie was predeceased by her brother-in-law Jeff Faber.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at Yale Smilow Cancer Hospital for the care that they provided to Jaimie throughout her illness.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Rd., East Hartford. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury.
