Martha Schoenemann posted a condolence

I will always remember Mike and Rena’s dedication to the Pawlett Historical Society and their hard work restoring the North Pawlet School building. It was Mike who invited me to join the Board of Directors in 1997. Many of those who were active officers or trustees in the 90s and 2000’s predeceased Mike: Don Pepper, Donald Jones, Anna Jones, Ralph Sanders, Dorothy Offendsend, and Susanne Rappaport among others. It was also under Mike and Rena’s supervision that we began to organize and catalog the Society’s extensive collection of archival documents, photographs and objects. That collection has grown over the years and now a younger generation of archivists continue to learn the cataloguing system initiated by Mike and Rena. Mike was an intelligent, caring man of many talents. I send my personal condolences to all his family at this time of loss. With warmest regards, Martha Schoenemann, Historian, Pawlett Historical Society
