Wished I had stopped in to see him the last time I was in CT. I have wonderful memories of staying on the farm during summer break from school and seeing his great work on restorations. I believe that's where my dad spent most of his time when we visited, in Phil's barn talking cars. Philip was a great guy and never an unkind word for anyone.

We moved into our first house in Glastonbury across the street from Phil in 1998. He immediately became the best neighbor a family could have. My first meeting with Phil was when I was constructing my garden. I had a truckload of soil delivered and was spreading it out by the shovel and wheelbarrow-ful, when Phil showed up with his Ford tractor and a bucket attachment. After telling me I was crazy, he proceeded to move all of the soil in a matter of minutes. He was a lifelong fried from that moment on. Through the years, he was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He was always interested in what we were up to and was especially proud of his Model A collection. It was a real treat when he would take me, my wife and son out for a ride. We became very close, especially my son Kyle, who shared a love of everything mechanical. They would talk at length, and Phil would answer ever question Kyle would throw at him. When we moved form Marlborough Rd to Horizon Ln. we didn't skip a beat. We met often, helping Phil with his lawn chores, or just visiting to catch up on things. The past 25 years have been blessed with having Phil as a neighbor and friend. They just don't make them like Phil anymore. Rest in Peace Phil. We will miss you dearly. All our love.
