I met David in 1964 when we entered a Peace Corps training program in Milwaukee. David ended up in Northern Brazil and me in the South. We really had little to no contact during our two years of service. 40 years passed. We met again at a reunion of the members of our training group. Despite the passing of time, marriage, kids, and careers, David was the same thoughtful, quiet intellect that I met so many years back. But now he was married to Joanne, which just showed how smart he was. David will be remembered and missed.
