Obituary of Jeanne B. Hamilton

Jeanne (Berube) Hamilton, 79, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Thomas J. Hamilton, Jr., died Monday July 25, 2022, at Hartford Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born September 11, 1942in Hartford, daughter of the late Edgar and Estelle (Slusarczyk) Berube, she had lived in Glastonbury for over 50 years.

Jeanne had a heart of gold, and was the sweetest, kindest person who befriended all. Jeanne was so adored by her family and enjoyed so many amazing tropical vacations, winter visits with friends in Florida and trips to the Outer Banks and the Cape.  She also enjoyed years of tennis and golf with her friends, lunch with the ladies, bridge, mahjong and book club. She loved to be taken out no matter where it was…for coffee, ice cream or her favorite places like Bin 228 or Blackledge on the patio.  She especially loved to take a little road trip to the shore to Bill’s or Mystic for fried scallops. Jeanne never missed a party. Her bright and cheery little calls, voicemails, texts and everything about her will be greatly missed by her family.

Besides her husband of 55 years, she is survived by her 2 children and their spouses, Thomas J.,III and Annemarieke Hamilton, Susan H. and Christopher Garland all of Glastonbury, 2 brothers Richard Berube of FL, David Berube and his wife Kathy of Suffield, a sister Connie DeMaio of Rocky Hill, her Japanese American daughter, Yuka Wasan of South Glastonbury and 5 grandchildren who thought the absolute world of their Gram (aka Gram Cracker) Brandon and Caitlin Garland, Griffin, Caroline and Elliot Hamilton.  Jeanne would want everyone to stop and smell the roses.  Please be sure to listen to the Charlie Brown Christmas music and think of her, it was her favorite.

Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday, December 2nd from 4-6 pm. Funeral and burial will be private.  For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
