Obituary of Elizabeth J. Lips
Elizabeth J. (Bennis) Lips, 92, of Glastonbury, wife of the late George E. Lips, Sr., died Friday September 30, 2022 at home. Born April 8, 1930 in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph J. and Beatrice (Therkalsen) Bennis, she had lived in Glastonbury for the past 25 years. Betty belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Glastonbury and a former member of the Center Village Tenants Association. Betty is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, George Jr., and Cathy Lips of Towson, MD, Susan Lips of East Hartford, David and Christine Lips of Southwick, MA, Karen Disipio of Manchester, Kenneth Lips of Enfield, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Michael Lips, a brother James Bennis and a sister Lois Moriarty. A special thank you to Ali Goodenough for her devotion. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Thursday Oct. 6 from 10am to 12 noon. A graveside service will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield at 12:30. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Glastonbury Ambulance Association, P.O.
