Obituary of Richard Perras

Richard J. Perras, 73, of Glastonbury, passed away suddenly on Saturday April 20, 2013. Richard was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, son of the late Beatrice Feltault and William Raoul Perras. He graduated from East Hartford High School, attended the Pratt Institute School of Architecture and the School of Engineering at University of Connecticut, and spent his career in engineering as a member of the awarded engineering firm R.A. Goodell & Associates. Richard was a proud veteran of the Air Force and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Jane (Gondek) Perras, his two sons, Gregory and his wife Karen of South Glastonbury, Christopher and his wife Elena of New York City, his granddaughter Sofia, his sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Richard Snyder, sister-in-law Barbara Kancler and brothers-in-law Daniel Kancler and Allen DePersia, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 23, at 11 am in Saint Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will be at St. Augustine's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to St. Jude Children's Hospital at: 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
