Obituary of Geraldine DePersia
Geraldine Gondek DePersia, 75, of Wakefield RI, formerly of Glastonbury, CT and beloved wife of Allen DePersia, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 25, 2013. A lifelong resident of Glastonbury, Geraldine was born April 26, 1937 to the late Peter and Julia (Molina) Gondek. A devout Catholic, Geraldine loved her faith, family and the beach. She was a proud member of the Ya-Ya's, a longtime group of close girlfriends, and the Arbutus Garden Club in Rhode Island. Besides her husband, Geraldine is survived by her daughter Karen DePersia and her husband, Thomas Brown, of Ashford, CT, her three sons David DePersia of West Hartford, CT, Jeff and his wife Kathy DePersia, Jim and his wife Sherri DePersia, all of Hebron, CT. Her two sisters Barbara Kancler and Jane Perras of Glastonbury, CT and seven grandchildren; Cody, Jason, Evan, Alexa, and Dylan DePersia, and Brian and Hannah Rouillard, A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Friends may call at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday, March 1 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Rhode Island, 1210 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
