I was so sad to hear the news of Barb's passing. She was my best friend for all my childhood years growing up in Seymour, CT. Barb and I were inseparable. We had such great times performing on her homemade stage (the McConville picnic table), making cakes that only our parents would dare eat and creating forts in the woods behind her house. She was the most kind and caring person I know. Even after many years being apart, Barb found a way to keep our old neighborhood friends in contact with our girls' weekends. I will forever cherish those moments. John, your Mom loved you so and was very proud of the man you have become. You will always feel her presence. Bless you all.

Our sincere condolences to Barb’s son John and to Barb’s mother, my dear Aunt Barbara; also to Barb’s sisters and brothers and all the McConville family that she loved so much. Barb’s death has brought sadness to our large extended family, yet she leaves us with memories of a beautiful kind and loving person. We will miss her.

This world will not be the same without Barb in it. She could make each person feel like they were the one she was most interested in talking to. It was a joy to hear her talk about her son John's adventures and accomplishments at his job...she was so proud of him.Her laugh was infectious, so jolly! I will miss our luncheons with the three Barbara's (Aunt, me, and Barb) catching up on all of the news. She's in good hands now, still surrounded by loving family. I'll miss you, Barb.

My husband worked for Silktown for many years and I first met Barbara at a Silktown appreciation party. I work with her son John and I remember telling her what a wonderful young man he is and how proud she must be of him. Her face spoke a thousand words when talking about John. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family during this difficult time. Our deepest sympathy. Lori & Tom Schreindorfer

Words can't express our heartbreak at hearing that Barb has left us-far too soon. She is in a far better place and free of worldly pain and suffering. As part of the Silktown family, I will miss her smiling face and our personal interactions. She was a dear friend and a true professional. To Barbara's son John, you are in our prayers John and your Mom will always be looking down on you to protect you, guide you and love you-You were the center of her world. Her face lit up when I asked about you-she couldn't be prouder of you. To Barbara's Mother Barbara, You have our deepest sympathy, loosing a child-no matter what their age-I can't even imagine your heartache. We will continue to pray for the entire McConville family-a wonderful multi-generational family-we offer our sincerest sympathy to all of you.
