Helen Stern could be counted on to support outdoor activities and knew all the ways and whys to protect it. You could catch sight of her roaming through the woods and when the horses heads lifted to watch her, she would wave. She was a good and welcoming friend, told me all I know of the old Pony Club era, and was a respected voice in the community. I will miss her and wish peace for her family in their loss. Jaye Winkler
